Your workweek will consist of tasks such as:

• administrative work connected to ongoing projects;
  
• preparing and executing activities within the Club of Volunteers and
  

Voluntariat community together with your fellow volunteer and support of coordinator;

• preparing (mainly) visuals (graphic designs) for content on our social media platforms (TikTok, IG, FB);
  
• working closely with other members of the team on improving retention within organisation;
  
• other tasks based on the current needs of the organisation.

It is an accredited organization for sending and hosting ESC volunteers and for coordinating ESC projects. Furthermore, the organisation has recently obtained accreditation for the EU Aid Volunteers programme, and this year they are sending their first volunteers to areas in need of humanitarian aid.

The main mission of Voluntariat is to promote the ideas of peace, social justice, sustainable development and international cooperation and solidarity through volunteer work and voluntary projects. The target group of the organisation is mainly youth from 18-30 years.

• Engaging in international actions that promote participation of people of different backgrounds (nationalities, cultures, political views, etc.) in the belief that encouraging understanding between different national groups can lead to coexistence and peaceful resolution of conflicts between nations.;
  
• Organizing various educational activities and training of both volunteers and their mentors in order to spread the idea of volunteer work.;
  
• Organizing international voluntary workcamps and voluntary work with an aim to provide assistance and additional programs on social inclusion, environment protection and other activities that profit organizations and the state do not provide.;
  
• Organizing volunteering projects (such as Youth Exchanges, Trainings and
  
• Seminars) together with local organizations in the fields of protection of natural and cultural heritage, peacekeeping, assistance to deprived social groups, etc. mainly related to Global Education and Youth.;
  
• Coordinating and managing projects on a national and international level.;
  
• Monitoring and evaluating projects we support (and/or are partnering in) both in the local and wider context taking care of dissemination (publishing the results).

Voluntariat is also part of a worldwide international volunteering organization dedicated to promoting a culture of peace through volunteering, Service Civil International (SCI).

SCI has around 90 branches and partner organisations all around the world. The organisation’s main activities (short-term volunteering workcamps and long term

volunteering projects) provide a space for a colourful, international life, understanding and work for volunteers from different countries, at the same time offering an opportunity for international integration and the elimination of prejudices. As the Slovenian branch of SCI, Voluntariat sends Slovenian volunteers abroad and receives international volunteers in

Slovenia, offering support before, during, and after the projects. Through SCI, Voluntariat also works with individuals over the age of 30.

SCI has a consultative status with the Council of Europe, operational relations with UNESCO and is a member of: CCIVS (Coordinating Committee of International Voluntary Service Organizations), YFJ (Youth Forum Jeunesse), AVSO (Association of Voluntary Service Organizations) and UNITED for Intercultural Action. In 1987, SCI was awarded the title of Messenger of Peace given by the United Nations in acknowledgment of its efforts to promote peace and understanding.
